(“Antlia”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, discloses, and protects your personal and health information when you visit our website at antlia.ca (the “Website”), submit a health assessment through our platform, or otherwise interact with our telehealth services (collectively, the “Services”).

Antlia is committed to compliance with applicable Canadian privacy legislation, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), and applicable provincial health privacy statutes, including the Personal Health Information Protection Act (Ontario) (PHIPA) and equivalent legislation in other Canadian provinces and territories where we operate.

This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms and Conditions. Capitalized terms not defined in this Policy have the meanings given to them in our Terms and Conditions.

  • Identification and contact information: full name, date of birth, mailing address, email address, and phone number.
  • Health and medical information: medical history, current medications, allergies, previous surgeries or treatments, weight and BMI history, and other information relevant to your weight management assessment.
  • Weight loss goals and lifestyle information: dietary habits, physical activity levels, and wellness objectives.
  • Account credentials: username and password.
  • Payment and billing information: processed securely by our third-party payment processor — Antlia does not store full payment card details.
  • Communications content: any messages, questions, or feedback you submit to us.

 

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you access or use our Services, we and our service providers automatically collect certain technical and usage data, including:

  • IP address and approximate geographic location.
  • Browser type, version, and language; device type, operating system, and device identifiers.

  • Licensed prescribers (physicians and nurse practitioners) who review your assessment and provide clinical services through the platform.
  • Licensed pharmacies that fulfill prescriptions issued through our platform.
  • Third-party identity verification or payment processing services.
  • Analytics providers (in aggregated or de-identified form).

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

2.1 Providing and Improving the Services

  • To verify your identity and create and manage your member account.
  • To process and transmit your health assessment to a licensed prescriber for clinical review.
  • To facilitate the issuance and transmission of prescriptions to licensed pharmacies.
  • To process payments and manage billing.
  • To communicate with you about your assessment status, prescription, and ongoing care.
  • To provide customer support and respond to your inquiries.
  • To improve, personalize, and optimize the functionality of our Services.

 

2.2 Safety, Security, and Legal Compliance

  • To detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent, unauthorized, or illegal activity.
  • To enforce our Terms and Conditions and other applicable agreements.
  • To comply with applicable laws, regulations, court orders, and professional obligations.
  • To protect the rights, property, and safety of Antlia, our users, prescribers, and the public.

 

2.3 Communications and Marketing

  • To send you transactional communications related to your account and Services (these cannot be opted out of while your account is active).
  • To send you updates about our Services, platform changes, or policy updates.
  • With your express consent only, to send you promotional offers or health information newsletters.

 

2.4 Research and Analytics

  • To conduct internal research and analysis to understand how our Services are used.
  • To generate aggregated and de-identified statistical data for reporting and business development.

3. HOW WE DISCLOSE YOUR INFORMATION

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the circumstances described below.

 

3.1 Licensed Prescribers

Your health assessment and personal health information will be shared with the licensed prescriber assigned to review your assessment. This sharing is essential to the provision of clinical services and is conducted in full compliance with applicable health privacy legislation.

 

3.2 Licensed Pharmacies

If a prescription is issued, your name, prescription details, and relevant health information will be transmitted to your selected licensed Canadian pharmacy or our pharmacy partner for dispensing. By selecting a pharmacy through our platform, you consent to this disclosure.

 

3.3 Service Providers

We work with trusted third-party service providers who perform functions on our behalf, including:

  • Payment processing and fraud prevention.
  • Cloud hosting, data storage, and IT security.
  • Customer support and communications platforms.
  • Analytics and platform performance monitoring.
  • Legal, audit, and compliance services.

All service providers are contractually required to handle your information only as directed by Antlia and in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

6. HEALTH INFORMATION — SPECIAL NOTICE

Your personal health information (“PHI”) — including your assessment responses, medical history, and prescription details — is collected solely for the purpose of enabling a licensed prescriber to evaluate your suitability for prescription weight management medication and to facilitate dispensing of any prescribed medication.

Your PHI will NOT be:

  • Sold to any third party under any circumstances.
  • Used for advertising, marketing profiling, or commercial targeting without your explicit consent.
  • Disclosed to your employer, insurer, or any family member without your express written authorization.
  • Used for any purpose beyond delivering the Services without your informed consent.

You have the right to withdraw your consent to the collection and use of your PHI at any time. Please be aware that doing so may prevent Antlia from continuing to provide the Services to you.

7. YOUR CHOICES AND CONSENT

7.1 Marketing Communications

You may opt out of receiving marketing communications from Antlia at any time by:

  • Clicking the ‘unsubscribe’ link in any marketing email.
  • Replying ‘STOP’ to any SMS marketing message.
  • Updating your communication preferences in your account settings.
  • Contacting us at support@antlia.ca.

 

Opting out of marketing communications will not affect transactional communications relating to your active account, prescriptions, or clinical care.

 

7.2  Withdrawing Consent

You may withdraw your consent to Antlia’s collection and use of your personal or health information at any time by contacting us at support@antlia.ca. Please note that withdrawal of consent may result in Antlia being unable to continue providing some or all of the Services to you.

 

7.3  Closing Your Account

You may request the closure of your Antlia account at any time. Following account closure, we will retain certain information as required by applicable law, including health records as mandated under provincial health regulations, and for audit and legal compliance purposes.

8. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Our Services may contain links to third-party websites, tools, or platforms. This Privacy Policy applies only to Antlia’s collection and use of your information. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any third-party website, application, or service.

Third parties whose services integrate with our platform — including payment processors, pharmacy platforms, and analytics providers — have their own privacy policies governing their handling of your information. We encourage you to review those policies.

9. RETENTION OF YOUR INFORMATION

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy and in accordance with applicable legal requirements, including:

  • Health records and assessment data: minimum 10 years following your last clinical interaction, in accordance with applicable provincial health records legislation.
  • Account information: for the duration of your account and a reasonable period following closure.
  • Financial and transaction records: minimum 7 years as required under Canadian tax legislation.
  • Analytics and de-identified data: may be retained indefinitely as it cannot be linked back to you.

 

When information is no longer required, we securely delete or de-identify it in accordance with our data retention policies and applicable legal obligations.

10. YOUR RIGHTS AND ACCESS TO YOUR DATA

Subject to applicable Canadian privacy legislation, you have the following rights with respect to your personal information:

  • Right of Access: You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, free of charge.

12. CROSS-BORDER DATA TRANSFERS

Antlia’s primary operations and data storage are located in Canada. Some of our service providers may process or store data in other jurisdictions.
